These high-quality adhesives are capable of providing a strong bond on a wide variety of unprepared metals in temperatures ranging from -40 to 149 degrees Celsius. Not only is extremely versatile and resistant to a wide range of temperatures, but Lord Maxlok Acrylic Adhesives are also environmentally resistant. Providing excellent resistance to UV exposure, alkalis solvents, dilute acids, oils, greases, weathering, and salt spray. These adhesives also provide precise control of bond line thickness and they are non-sagging. It will remain in place when applied on vertical or overhead surfaces, allowing for greater process flexibility. The curing process will begin immediately once the accelerator and adhesive are mixed.
Complete cure of Lord Maxlok MX/T3, MX/T6, and MX/T18 will take approximately 24 hours at room temperature. The two surfaces that are being bonded together must be held in contact during the entire curing process to ensure a strong bond. When applying these high-quality adhesives, it is extremely important to remove all loose contaminations and grease on the substrates. The cured adhesive is colored to visually indicate a complete cure. The cure color will depend on the accelerator. Working time at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius for MX/T3 is 3 to 5 minutes, for MX/T6 it is 6 to 9 minutes and for MX/T18 it is 18 to 24 minutes.
It is extremely important to understand the dangers and proper application methods using Lord Maxlok Acrylic Adhesives. Shelf life is 9 months when stored in its original unopened container under 27 degrees Celsius. The recommended temperature for storage is 4 to 10 degrees Celsius. Lord Maxlok MX/T3, MX/T6, and MX/T18 needs to return to room temperature before application if stored at the recommended temperatures. These acrylic adhesives are extremely flammable. It is highly recommended to not store near heat, sparks or open flames.
