Loctite EA 9394 C-2 features excellent strength above 204 degrees Celsius, is non-MDA, Non Aromatic Amine Curing Agents and it will provide long term thermal stability. Part A is gray and Part B is a purple-dark green. At 77° F the resin will have a viscosity 6,500 poise. Density of 1.45 g/ml of part A is 1.45 and density of the hardener will be 1. The product will be shipped at ambient conditions. Loctite EA 9394 C-2 Aero requires mixing prior to application to the parts. Temperature of the epoxy paste adhesive is not critical but it is strongly recommended to have it close to room temperature. Mix ratio is 100 by weight of Part A to 20 by weight of Part B.
Pot life of 450 gram mass of Loctite EA 9394 C2 Aero is 7 hours at room temperature per ASTM D2471 in water bath. Combine both parts and mix toughly. Heat buildup while mixing is normal this is why it is important to not mix greater quantities than 450 grams. More than 450 grams of material can cause uncontrolled decomposition. Bonding surfaces need to be clean and dry before application. Parts need to be held in contact until the adhesive is set.Loctite EA 9394/C-2 requires a cure time of one hour at 93 degrees Celsius to achieve normal performance. Service temperature is approximately 232 degrees Celsius.
Loctite EA 9394/C-2 MSDS needs to be read and understood before handling the material. It will have a shelf life of 1 year when it is stored in its original container between 4 to 25 degrees Celsius. Removing excessive adhesive from the work area is required before it hardeners. Denatured alcohol and many common industrial solvents may be used to for removing uncured adhesive.
