The mix ratio of this material is 100 by weight of Part A to 22 by weight of Part B. This ratio is not recommended for use with structural applications unless the proper precautions are taken to assure the correct ratios. Mixing should be done right before bonding and it is recommended to have the materials as close to room temperature as possible. Do not mix more than 450 gm mass of this material because dangerous heat buildup will occur causing decomposition. Viscosity for Part A at 77 degrees Fahrenheit is 1500-3,800 Poise and Part B is 0.1-0.2 Poise. Density of Part A is 1.15 and the Density of Part B is 1.0.Loctite 9309.3 NA is normally shipped at ambient conditions. The pot life of 450 gm mass is approximately 35 minutes per ASTM D2471 in water bath.
Bonding surfaces need to be properly cleaned and dried before applying Loctite EA 9309.3. Handling strength of this product will occur within 12 hours at room temperature. Full cure will take 3 to 5 days at 25 degrees Celsius of in an hour at 82 degrees Celsius. Loctite 9309.3 will retain 1000 psi/6.9 MPa at 82 degrees Celsius per the test method ASTM D1002. Testing 0.5 inch casting per ASTM D695, the compressive strength is 7,500 psi and the compressive modulus is 245 ksi at 25 degrees Celsius. If more information is required for this material, use the Loctite 9309.3 TDS.
Loctite 9309.3 MSDS should be read and understood before handling this material. When applying, it is important to be in a well-ventilated area to avoid the vapors emitted.
