Loctite 495 Super Bonder is a one-part adhesive that cures in room temperature when it is exposed to atmospheric moisture. The curing process will continue up to 24 hours at a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius before the chemical or solvent resistance is developed. The rate of cure will depend on the bondline gap from the result of high speed cure, the type of substrate used, as well as the ambient relative humidity. Loctite 495 has a low viscosity permitting an easy application process because of its self-leveling properties. This high quality adhesive has excellent chemical/solvent resistance to motor oil, gasoline, isopropanol, ethanol and Freon TA. This material complies with MIL-A-46050 C Type II Class 1.

This ethyl cyanoacrylate has a very low toxicity, a mild odor, containing no solvents in the material and is non-flammable. Loctite 495 has a service temperature of -65 to 180 degrees Celsius. This adhesive is not suggested for the use in oxygen enriched systems. It is also not applicable as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials. It is significant to understand the proper application process and risks in handling this material. For the best performance, the surfaces for bonding should be free from grease and clean. Excessive adhesive can be dissolved with cleanup solvents, acetone or nitromethane.

Loctite 495 Super Bonder should be stored between 2 to 8 degrees Celsius in an unopened container in a dry location for optimal storage. Allowing the material to drop lower than 2 degrees or higher than 8 degrees Celsius can completely alter or affect the products properties. It is recommended to not return the product back to the container once it has been dispensed because it may have been contaminated during the application process.
