Buy Loctite 4903
Loctite 4903 is a one part, low viscosity, high flexibility, humidity cure, cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for the assembly of medical devices. This advanced material supports the use of dissimilar and opaque substrates while improving performance. It offers high strength in flexing bond lines and resistance to leaks with optimal sealing capabilities. Advantages of using this cyanoacrylate includes the ease of use, speed and strength
Rate of cure is dependent on the type of substrate that is used. Loctite 4903 will develop shear strength of 0.1 N/mm² at 22 degrees Celsius with 50 percent relative humidity. The adhesive will have a specific gravity of 1.0 at 25 degrees Celsius and it will have a viscosity between 150 to 250 Cp. The glass transition temperature is 63 degrees Celsius per ISO 11359-2. Along with providing high strength adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, Loctite 4903 has excellent electrical properties.
Dielectric breakdown strength is 36 kV/mm per IEC60243-1. Surface resistivity is 175 x1015 ohms and the volume resistivity is 22×1015 ohm-cm per IEC 60093. Before applying, all bond areas should be cleaned and free from all grease. Using a primer with Loctite 4903 will improve bonding on low energy plastic surface areas. Apply the adhesive to one side of bond surfaces and assemble the parts together within a few seconds. Bonds should be held clamped or fixed together until the adhesive has fixtured. Full strength will typically take 24 to 72 hours after assembly depending on the materials, bond gap and ambient conditions.
Before handling it is strongly recommended to read and understand the Loctite 4903 MSDS. This product should not be used in pure oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for any strong oxidizing materials. Loctite 4903 needs to be stored in a dry location in its unopened container. Optimum temperature for storage of this material is between 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Anything above or below the stated temperatures may affect the products properties. During use, it is strongly recommended to not return the adhesive back to the original container because it may have become contaminated.
