HumiSeal UV92 is a single component, UV curable, soft masking material providing a temporary barrier to stop the entrance of conformal coatings into unwanted areas. This innovative masking material offers outstanding solvent resistance that provides selective release from conformal coatings. The coating has an operating temperature ranging between -50 to 150°C. UV92 is available in 30CC, 55CC, 340CC, 1 liter, and 5-liter containers.
The specific gravity of HumiSeal UV92 UV curable masking at room temperature is 1.04. The masking gel is a milky white thixotropic paste made from a urethane acrylate. Elongation at break is less than 200%, has a hardness of 40 Shore A, and glass transition temperature is -50°C. The recommended curing for HumiSeal UV92 is a UV LED at 365nm or405nm with an arc lamp or an “H” type microwave, minimum power of 200 mW/cm². For more information about the product or curing, ask an expert from Krayden.
The gel easily applies by syringes or dispensing gun. It is recommended to apply HumiSeal UV92 UV Cure Masking on printed circuit board or where conformal coating is not wanted. Thickness should not exceed 5mm. Application of product should be done in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhalation of vapor. The product can be removed by peeling it away from the surface of protected area or by using Isopropyl alcohol. HumiSeal UV92 will not tarnish tin, gold, copper, phosphor bronze, and Sn/Pb solder.
It is highly recommended to read and understand the HumiSeal UV 92 Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet before handling. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. The gel needs to be stored between 8°C and 28°C in its tightly closed container away from sunlight and any other light sources. Shelf life will be 12 months from the date of manufacture if stored properly. If you have any questions on the safe handling of this product, contact Krayden and a technical representative will assist in answering any questions that you may have.
HumiSeal UV92 is an advanced masking gel that applies easily because of its shearing thinning viscosity and it is cured by being exposed to UV light. As simple as it is to apply, the temporary barrier can be easily removed by peeling it off. UV92 will protect your electronics from conformal coatings. The gel keeps contact points and connections free of coating. More information on the product will be on the HumiSeal UV92 Technical Data Sheet.
