This advanced conformal coating meets the requirements of SAE-J-1960 standard and it is in full compliance with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC. HumiSeal UV40 Solar is a one component, low viscosity, UV curable conformal coating. The acrylated polyurethane possesses excellent surface hardness, flexibility and is tack-free after exposure to UV light. A secondary moisture cure will cure the unexposed material missed by UV light in 2 to 3 days at ambient conditions. The substrates being used need to be properly cleaned for the successful application of the conformal coating. Surfaces must be free of wax, grease, dirt, flux residues and all other contaminates that may lead to the failure of the conformal coating. HumiSeal UV40 Solar should be applied using standard selective coating equipment. The air used for spraying needs to be dry to ensure the conformal coating will not cure prematurely. The recommended coating thickness for this material is 25 to 125 microns.
Caution is extremely important when handling, cleaning and storing HumiSeal UV40 Solar Conformal Coating. This product is photosensitive. It should be kept out of direct sunlight and from fluorescent lighting. To achieve the maximum shelf life, the product needs to be stored away from excessive heat, in its tightly sealed container at a temperature of 0 to 25 degrees Celsius. This will provide a shelf life of 12 months. Prior to using HumiSeal UV40 Solar, the material must equilibrate in room temperature for approximately 24 hours. Non-alcohol based solvents should be used when cleaning equipment. The material is a highly cross linked coating and will be more difficult to remove then other conformal coatings. The application of HumiSeal conformal coating needs to be done in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhalation of toxic vapors. Try to avoid contact with skin and eyes.
