HumiSeal 1A33 is an oxygen curing, high quality polyurethane conformal coating designed for general printed circuit board applications. This material is MIL-I-4605C qualified, RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and IPC –CC-830 complaint. 1A33 contains no free isocyanates and fluoresces under UV light allowing easy inspection of the coating.
HumiSeal 1A33 is a one component, self-extinguishing, transparent polyurethane material with excellent weather and chemical resistance. The coating passes the thermal shock requirement per MIL-I-46058C. It can be applied to the circuit boards by spraying, brushing or dipping. HumiSeal 1A33 aerosol is available when spraying the conformal coating is required. HumiSeal Thinner 521 is recommended to assure a uniform spray pattern. It is important to do the spraying under an exhaust hood or in a well-ventilated area to ensure the vapor and mist will be carried away from the operator. This advanced conformal coating will dry in less than one half-hour. The complete cure to reach optimum properties will take 30 days at room temperature, 30 hours at a temperature of 170 degrees Fahrenheit and 20 hours at 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Expose HumiSeal 1A33 with isopropyl alcohol to identify if it is completely cured. The material will show no signs of chemical attacks such as material removal or dulling.

The curing process of HumiSeal 1A33 is dependent on the exposure to oxygen. If oxygen is not refreshed or if it is not available during the curing cycle then the coating will not cure to specifications correctly. It is recommended to store this material at room temperature away from excessive heat. It should be stored in a tightly closed container away from direct sunlight. HumiSeal 1A33 can be stored at temperatures between 0 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The pot life of this conformal coating at room temperature will be 12 months and the shelf life is approximately 24 months from the date of shipment. Prior to use, allow the material to equilibrate for 24 hours at 65-90 degrees Fahrenheit. It is extremely important to understand the dangers and proper application methods when handling this product. This material contains no traces of monomeric isocyanate. Don’t use HumiSeal 1A33 in the presence of sparks or flames because it is flammable before cured. Avoid contact with skin or inhalation of the vapors emitted by the material.
