Frekote WOLO-HS is a room temperature cure, high gloss finish, solvent based Polymer. This high quality colorless liquid is formulated as a release coating with minimal mold build-up. The cured thermal stability is equal to or less than 400 degrees Celsius. The main application of this mold release agent is to provide multiple releases for tough releasing polyester structures and for low VOC polyester gel-coat.
WOLO-HS is a solvent based polymer with a very unique high slip formulation that provides multiple releases. Utilizing the wipe on and leave method will provide a high gloss finish taking away the need to polish. The recommended application temperature of Frekote WOLO-HS is between 13 to 41 degrees Celsius. When applying, all the mold surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned and all traces of prior releases must be removed. Use a cotton cloth to wipe a smooth, wet film over the mold surface. Lightly wipe the surface for approximately 10 to 30 seconds creating a thin uniform film and then allow the Frekote to evaporate. A minimum of four coatings is required for the release agent to work properly. The final coating should be given 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature. Frekote WOLO-HS will have a solvent like odor.
This material is extremely flammable and should be stored in compliance with relevant regulations. It is absolutely necessary to store this material away from combustible materials and oxidizing agents. Store the product in a dry location in its tightly sealed, unopened container. The ideal storage temperature will be between 8 to 21 degrees Celsius. Anything higher than 28 degrees or lower than 8 degrees Celsius can alter the products properties. Once the material is taken out and used, it is suggested not to return it to its original container because it may be contaminated causing a change in the products properties. Do not use WOLO-HS in pure oxygen systems. It is also not recommended to select this release agent as a sealant for strong oxidizing materials or chlorine.
