Buy Epocast 1652
Epocast 1652 is an advanced epoxy syntactic providing excellent temperature performance after it is room temperature cured. This high quality material is ideal for adding strength and toughness to wide variety of fabricated parts including core splicing, helicopter rotor blades and much more.
Epocast 1652 A/B is a two component system that is qualified to Gulfstream GMS 4005, Grumman GM 4006 and Sikorsky 9587, Type 2. 100 parts by weight of 1652 A will need a recommended 12 parts by weight of Epocast 1652 B hardener. Gel time of 100 gms of the mixed material at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius will be approximately 30 to 60 minutes. It should be mixed for several minutes to ensure that both components are blended together properly. The viscosity will be a thick paste consistency under the testing method of ASTM-D-2196. Epocast 1652 Huntsman will have a cure schedule of 7 full days are a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. It will gel at 25 degrees Celsius and will be fully cured with 2 to 3 hours at a temperature of 66 degrees Celsius. This low density syntactic epoxy material will have a high compressive strength strengthening radii and corners of reinforced plastic and structures.
It is extremely important to understand the proper application methods and storage precautions when handling Epocast 1652. Syntactic epoxy hardeners and resins are required to be stored in their original sealed containers in a dry place between the temperatures of 16-32 degrees Celsius. Temperature of the material when mixing should be around 18 degrees Celsius. If it is stored at a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius or colder, it will need to be thawed at room temperature before it is applied. If Epocast is stored under the conditions stated at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, this material will have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of shipping from Huntsman.
