Buy Eccobond 104 A/B
EC Eccobond 104 is formulated using a black liquid and white powder creating a high strength epoxy adhesive. The main purpose of this advanced adhesive is to bond a variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramic and thermoset plastic. This epoxy is designed for applications that require extremely high temperature exposure.
Hysol Eccobond 104 is a two component, non-conductive, heat cure adhesive that is capable to withstand a continuous exposure at temperatures as high as 230 degrees Celsius. If used short term, it can withstand temperatures up to 280 degrees Celsius. The recommended operating temperature is between -25 to 230 degrees Celsius. This innovative material has excellent chemical resistance, high shear strength and a long pot life. The typical curing performance of this adhesive is as follows. 1 hour at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius, 2 hours at a temperature of 175 degrees Celsius, 3 hours at a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius and 6 hours at a temperature of 120 degrees Celsius. For optimum performance it is recommended to allow the adhesive to cure 2 to 4 hours after the initial cure at the highest expected use temperature. The recommended mixing ratio of Eccobond 104 A/B is 100 part A to 64 Part B by weight.
When handling EC Eccobond 104 it is extremely important to understand the dangers and proper applications methods. Dust, moisture, oxide layers, salts and oils need to be removed from the substrates to reduce contamination. If the substrates are no cleaned properly corrosion may develop or poor adhesion will ensue. Measure and blend the two components together by hand using a kneading motion. In a majority of applications only pressure contact is required. Store Eccobond 104 A/B in its original container, tightly covered in a dry area. The optimal storage temperature is approximately 25 degrees Celsius. Anything above or below the temperature of 25 degrees Celsius can affect the products characteristics adversely. When the material is removed from its container, it is important to not to return the product back in the original container because of the risk of contamination. The shelf life of both A and B will 6 months at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. For more information regarding the safe handling of this material refer to the Eccobond 104 MSDS.
