The all new Dow Corning TC-4515 is a soft and compressible material that offers dependable cooling performance in automotive electronic components. The properties contained within this material are able to remain stable during typical environmental exposure. Dow Corning TC-4515 is designed specifically to remove heat from the heat source by dissipating it to the cold source and has the ability to last the full life of the electronic module. This gap filler is intended for an easy integration into the assembly process line. This material works best using automated dispensing with meter mix equipment. If additional information regarding application method is required, please contact a certified Krayden Technical Representative.
Dow Corning TC-4515 Gap Filler is a two-part material with a 1:1 mix ratio. This gap filler is made up of two colors, blue and white, and its specific gravity mixed is 2.7. The viscosity of part A, B, and both parts mixed is 180 Pa.s. The viscosity mixed changes after 1 hour at 25°C to 295 Pa.s. The cure time for Dow Corning TC-4515 Gap Filler is 150 minutes at 25°C or 30 minutes at 80°C. This materials hardness is 55 at Shore 00, and its thermal conductivity by transient method is >1.5 W/m·K.
The volume resistivity of Dow Corning TC-4515 Thermally Conductive Gap Filler is 8.13E+14 Ohm-cm, and its dielectric strength is 15.8 kV/mm. With its silicone gel matrix, this material is designed for long term dependability. This material offers long-term performance stability at temperatures up to 150°C and can hold a vertical position in a cured or uncured state. Treated alumina in this gap filler enhances its thermal conductivity while managing the steadiness of bulk properties. With its Platinum cure system, Dow Corning TC-4515 Thermally Conductive Gap Filler delivers with a fast controlled cure. For further information on this product, please see the Dow Corning TC-4515 TDS.
The two materials that make up Dow Corning TC-4515 should be mixed together in the correct ratio either by volume or weight. If they are mixed incorrectly, marbling or light-colored streaks will appear. Though uncommon in the Dow Corning TC-4515, in rare circumstances small amounts of filler can settle at the bottom of the liquid after several weeks of standing. Mix the material in each separate container thoroughly before use in order to avoid filler settlement and guarantee an even product mix. For additional information regarding application methods or product handling precautions please contact Krayden, an authorized distributor of Dow Corning.
Dow Corning TC-4515 Gap Filler is a two-part compressible material (after it is cured,) that is able to displace heat from electronics that are attached to printed circuit boards and move it to the heat sink. This design provides a trustworthy answer to cooling requirements for control units found in transmissions or engines. No post-cure is required for Dow Corning brand thermally conductive gap fillers, and they are able to start servicing electronic components immediately at working temperatures of -45 to 150°C after the completed cure schedule.
