Dowsil 733 RTV silicone is a non-slumping, one component, silicone rubber with great resistance to moisture, weathering, vibration, extreme temperatures and ozone. This high quality silicone material will have sustained flexibility at temperatures between -57 to 177 degrees Celsius. It can be used intermittently at a temperature of 204 degrees 
Celsius. It will cure to a tough rubbery solid once it is exposed to moisture in the air. Dowsil RTV sealant 733 is available in a variety of colors including white, black, clear and aluminum. Curing time will be affected by the temperature and relative humidity. An application 1/8 thick of the sealant will cure in approximately 24 hours in room temperature at 50 percent relative humidity. A ½ inch of material can take up to 7 to 14 days to become completely solid in the same conditions. An odor that is caused by acetic acid being released will occur during the curing process. Once the material is fully cured the odor will vanish.
Curing of the material will begin entering from the surface. At room temperature with 50 percent humidity, the silicone material will form a tack-free skin in roughly 10 to 15 minutes. Tooling should be fully completed within 5 to 10 minutes of operation. It is important to understand the proper handling precautions and limitations when using Dowsil 733 glass and metal sealant. It is not recommended to be used underwater, on concrete or masonry, on surfaces meant to be painted, on sensitive metals or on some plastics. When stored at a temperature below 32 degrees Celsius in its original unopened container, the shelf life will be 27 months from the date of manufacture.
