Dowsil EA-5151 QiC Adhesive is a pressure-sensitive, one-component, neutral moisture-cured silicone that is dispensed with heat assistance. This product offers an enhanced assembly process as parts prepared with EA-5151 can be handled instantly after its application. After it is cured, Dowsil EA-5151 (Formally Dow Corning EA-5151) QiC Adhesive will soften when it is exposed to high temperatures, but will soon return to its original properties upon cooling. Before this adhesive is applied, the surface of the substrate should be clean and dry.
As it is moisture-cured, Dowsil EA-5151 is not meant to be cured in areas confined entirely from atmospheric moisture. This material should not be used on wet surfaces, or on surfaces that may bleed solvents, plasticizers, or oils. Packaging availability of this product includes 22 kg pails and 304 mL aluminum cartridges. When it is kept at or below 32°C in its original unopened container, Dow Corning EA-5151 has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production. The use by date can be located on the product packaging. This silicone adhesive is not tested or represented as suitable for pharmaceutical or medical uses.
