Dowsil 734 is a one component sealant that cures in room temperature when it is exposed to moisture from the air, forming a tack free skin in as little as 11 minutes. This product has a low viscosity allowing self-leveling and easy application. An essential feature of Dow 734 Flowable Sealant is the ability to withstand temperatures from -65 to 180 degrees Celsius. It is formulated specially to perform under extreme conditions while having the capability to resist moisture, weathering and vibration.
Dow 734 has the proficiencies to bond to most materials, but it will not adhere to certain plastics, polyethylene and organic rubbers that project fluids like plasticizers. This sealant will react with zinc as well as corroding copper. It is not advised to be used with these metals because it will not bond long-term. Dow Flowable Sealant is not to be used for under water emersion; bonding unsecured sealant directly to a hot surface or materials such as oil based caulks and impregnated woods.
