Dow Corning 3-6752 is a single component, thixotropic, thermally conductive adhesive with good flame resistance. This innovative material is self-leveling and provides heat flow away from electronic components which can help increase reliability. It has no added solvents and offers outstanding thermal conductivity values. It is a polydimethylsiloxane adhesive loaded with thermally conductive fillers. This advance material is UL V-0 recognized and has a rapid, versatile cure processing which is controlled by temperature. It is a gray adhesive with a viscosity of 83,300 cP. Specific viscosity of cured material is 2.61 with Durometer Shore A of 87. Dow Corning 3-6752 Adhesive will have a tensile strength of 545 psi with elongation 15 percent. Heat cure at 100° C is 40 minutes, at 125°C it is 10 minutes and at 150°C it will be approximately 3 minutes. Rheometer T90 cure time at 125° C is 5.2 minutes.
Dow Corning 3-6752 has a dielectric strength of 400 volts/mil and a volume of resistivity of 7.1 E+13 ohm*cm. It has an Arc Tracking Resistance of 352 seconds and the thermal conductivity is0.98 btu/hr-ft-°F. This thermally conductive adhesive will not produce any by-products in the cure process. This advanced adhesive is specially formulated to provide unprimed adhesion to many reactive metals, glass, ceramics as well as to selected laminates, resins and plastics. Reading and understanding the Dow Corning 3-6752 MSDS is strongly recommended before handling. The product should be stored in its original container, tightly sealed to avoid any contamination. It will be operational over a temperature range of -45 to 200°C for long periods of time. Anything above or below may alter the behavior of the materials performance. Thermal performance, thermal cycling up to -55° C is possible, but performance should be verified for your parts assembly.
