Dow Corning 3-6265 HP is a non-flowing, heat cure, one part, black adhesive with high tensile strength. This innovative material has a rapid, versatile cure process controlled by temperature and because it is one component, it requires no mixing. The adhesive is well suited for sealing lids and housing, attaching baseplates, gasketing, connector sealing, engine controllers, and much more.
Dow Corning 3-6265 heat cure time at 100 degrees Celsius is 150 minutes, 25 minutes at 125 degrees Celsius and 10 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius. The viscosity of the material is 10,700 poise and the tensile strength is 850 psi. It will have a long working time allowing the greatest manufacturing flexibility while reducing waste. Dow Corning 3-6265 silicone will retain its physical and electrical properties over a wide range of operating conditions which enhances the reliability and service life for electronic devices. Application can be completed by needle or manual dispensing. Dielectric strength is 550 volts/mil and the Dielectric constant at 100 Hz is 3.20.
Dow Corning silicone adhesives are designed to provide excellent unprimed adhesion to many reactive metals, glass, ceramics, some laminates and plastics but good adhesion cannot be expected on non-reactive metals or plastics. Dow Corning 3-6265 HP will be operational over a temperature range of -45 to 200 degrees Celsius for extended periods of time. If the temperature exceeds the working temperature, behavior of the material and performance in applications can become more complex and will require more consideration.
