Buy Conathane CE-1155
Conathane CE-1155 is a solvent based polyurethane that is specifically formulated to be used as a circuit board coating for a variety of harsh environments. This engineered material provides excellent resistance to moisture and good abrasion resistance. The cured film will be tough and hard with excellent adhesion to phenolic and epoxy-glass laminates. Specific substrates need to be thoroughly evaluated prior to using this polyurethane material.
Once mixed together, the clear amber material provides excellent chemical and solvent resistance. While mixing the two components together air bubbles will be introduced, giving it a few minutes will allow them to dissipate. Because Conathane CE-1155 is a solvent based material, it is recommended that not more than 2 to 2.5 mils of thickness applied during a single application. This will assist in averting solvent entrapment. If more than one coat is required, wait 2 hours at a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius until applying the second coat. Conathane CE-1155 is a two component, MIL-I-46058-C and IPC-CC-830B qualified material. At a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, the material is tack-free for 5 to 6 hours and will have a cure time of 5 to 7 days. At a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, the material will be tack-free for 30 to 45 minutes with a cure time of 3 hours. And at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, the tack free time will be 10 to 15 minutes with a cure time of 1 hour
It is extremely important to understand the proper storage and handling of this material before use. The recommended temperature to store Conathane CE-1155 is between 65 to -85 degrees Celsius in a tightly closed container. The shelf life of this advanced material is 15 months for both parts A and B from date of manufacture when stored in its unopened container at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. Conathane CE-1155 can be applied by dip, spray, or brush methods. The cured polyurethane film is suitable for continuous operation at a temperature of 130 degrees Celsius. The system contains a fluorescent dye to assist with inspection under ultraviolet light. It is recommended to use Conathane CE-1155 in a well-ventilated because it contains traces of monomeric isocyanate.
