Dow Molykote 55 is an off-white, silicone based grease for O-rings. This grease is typically used as a lubricant between metal and rubber parts in pneumatic systems in general industrial and automotive applications, as well as in aircraft. Molykote 55 O-Ring Lubricant offers the user outstanding oxidation resistance, good corrosion protection, and compatibility with many plastics and elastomers. When applied, the silicone-based grease swells natural rubber materials to provide a more powerful and secure seal. It also offers a wide service temperature range from -65°C to +175°C. When stored at or below 32°C, the product has a shelf life of 60 months.
