Loctite 242 is a general-purpose liquid threadlocker intended for locking and sealing threaded fasteners. This material offers the user a medium strength, medium viscosity, one-component material well suited for filling gaps between threads. Loctite 242 Threadlocker is also suitable for applications on surfaces where disassembly with hand tools is required. This product protects against corrosion and rust and prevents fasteners from loosening from vibration. Loctite 242 complies to MIL-S-46163A.
