Other applications include acting as a solvent or carrier for silicone oils or greases and as an alternative to hydrocarbon solvents in consumer products. Dowsil OS-10 Fluid offers the user compatibility with most plastics and surface coatings, low toxicity, low surface tension, and high purity. When stored at or below 43°C in the original, unopened containers, OS-10 has a shelf life of 5 years.
