Buy Aqualine R-120
Aqualine R-120 is a non-flammable, fast curing, water-based release agent for rubber molding. This advanced chemical comes in a translucent emulsion with multiple releases. It chemically bonds forming a thermally stable thin coating that is capable of releasing all synthetic polymers, some thermoplastics and urethanes.
Frekote Aqualine R-120 is highly recommended to be used for the most difficult molding applications where mold build-up and no contaminating transfer are used. This product has an application temperature of 60 to 200 degrees Celsius and is heat cured. The specific gravity is 0.98 to 1.02 and it is freeze/thaw stable. Before the material is applied, the mold surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned and dried. All other releases need to be removed. The optimum results will occur when molds are cleaned prior to using this chemical. Aqualine R-120 needs to be preheated to a minimum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. If the mold is heated to 60 to 150 degrees Celsius, it is recommended to regulate the gun output to approximately 60-90 ml/minute. This innovative material will dry in seconds but will be fully cured in 25 minutes. At a temperature of 93 degrees Celsius the curing time will be 10 minutes and at a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius the cure time decreases to 4 minutes.
For hot molds that reach a temperature of 120 to 200 degrees Celsius it is recommended to use 6 coats of Aqualine R-120. Four coats for molds ranging from 60 to 120 degrees Celsius. It is important to understand the proper application, storage and safe handling of Aqualine R-120 before use. This product should be stored in a dry location in its unopened container. The storage temperature needs to be between 8 to 21 degrees Celsius. Anything below 8 degrees or above 21 degrees Celsius will affect the chemicals properties adversely. Mold touch up coats should be applied to areas where poor release is observed. The frequency of touch-ups will depend on the mold configuration, polymer type and abrasion parameters. For more information regards the proper handling precautions and application methods refer to the Aqualine R-120 MSDS.
