Alpha OM-338-T is a no clean, lead-free, engineered solder paste designed for a variety of applications in the electronic industry. This high quality solder material is zero halogen, as well as having excellent solder and flux cosmetics after reflow soldering. Alpha OM 338T Flux Gel meets the highest IPC 7095 voiding performance classification of call III, and it is compatible with either air reflow or nitrogen. Alpha OM 338 is manufactured specifically to provide a reduction of solderballing which reduces rework and increasing first time yield. It is a high quality product capable of meeting various demands. This product is also known as Alpha OM 338 with M13 viscosity.
Designed for both standard and fine pitch stencil printing, Alpha OM 338T Solder Paste can withstand print speeds of up to 200mm/second, enabling a fast print cycle time and a high throughput. As well as providing excellent print consistency with high process capability index across all board designs. It is highly recommended to store Alpha OM-338T Flux Gel in a refrigerator at a temperature between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius. This will ensure the stability of the solder paste. Before using this material, it is important to allow it to reach room temperature, allowing the prevention of moisture to build up in the solder paste. The temperature of this paste must be greater than 19 degrees Celsius before it can be applied, therefore it is significant to warm up the paste for approximately 4 hours room temperature. If it is left in the refrigerator in an unopened package, Alpha OM-338-T has a shelf life of 6 months. The residue of this solder paste is designed to remain on the board after the reflow process. If residue cleanup is necessary, it is recommended to use Alpha BC-2200.
