3M 2262 is a high strength adhesive with excellent resistance to plasticizer migration and bonds vinyl extrusions and rigid vinyls. This innovative product dries clear, has a quick tack, is non-straining and has a relatively short bonding range. It is primarily used to bond unsupported vinyl and supported vinyl to various substrates.
The viscosity of 3M Plastic Adhesive 2262 is 375-675 cps. Solids by weight is 25-28% and the base material is a synthetic Resin. Net weight is approximately 7.1 – 7.5 lbs/gal and the flash point is at -18°C. Solvents in the advance material include Acetone and THF. The technical information provided data above should be considered representative and should not be used for specification reasons.

Before applying 3M 2262 Adhesive, all surfaces must be clean from contaminates and dry. Temperature of the adhesive and surfaces should be at least at 18°C for the best results. Brush a uniform coat on both surfaces and allow the coat to dry until tacky. When the adhesive dries to the tacky stage, you will have approximately 20 minutes to complete the bond. Combine both substrates together using firm pressure to ensure good contact. It is strongly recommended to use a dispensing system because it will enhance the adhesives performance.
Reading and understanding the 3M 2262 MSDS is highly recommended before handling the material. Store the product at 15-26°C for maximum storage life. Higher temperatures reduce normal storage life and low temperatures causes an increased viscosity. When stored in the recommended conditions, the product will have a shelf life of 15 months.
