Loctite EA 9320NA Two Component Epoxy Paste Adhesive
Loctite EA 9320NA is a high peel, two component paste adhesive with excellent resistance to elevated temperatures. This innovative epoxy adhesive is room temperature cure and it meets the requirements of MMM-A-132 Type 1 Class 2. If accelerated cure is needed, it is possible with this material. Loctite EA 9320NA Aero Epoxy Adhesive, also known as Hysol EA 9320NA is formulated to be used for Metal and honeycomb assembly repairing as well as aerospace potting and bonding.
Loctite EA 9320NA AREO Epoxy Paste Adhesive
The appearance of the mixed adhesive is blue. The viscosity of Part A is 4,000 Poise and Part B is 0.14. Loctite EA 9320NA Aero Epoxy Adhesives compressive strength is 34.5 Mpa at 25° C with 9% elongation at break. Mixed together, the density of the epoxy is 1.14 g/ml and has a mix ratio is 100:19. Loctite EA 9320NA needs to be mixed just prior to application to the parts that are being bonded. The temperature of the adhesive prior to mixing is not critical but it is strongly recommended to have it close to room temperature. The pot life of 200-gram mass is 25 minutes at 25°C per ASTM D 2471 in water bath.
Loctite EA 9320NA Uncured Properties
|Part A||Part B||Mixed|
|Viscosity at 25°C||4,000 Poise||0.14 Poise||N/A|
|Brookfield||HBT Spdl 7 @ 20 rpm||LVF Spdl 1 @60 rpm||N/A|
|Shelf Life at 4°C||1 Year||1 Year||N/A|
|Shelf Life at 25°C||1 Year||1 Year||N/A|
|Shelf Life at 32°C||6 Months||1 Year||N/A|
Combine both Part A and B together in the correct ratio and mix. Mixing larger quantities than what is recommended will ultimately end with heat buildup that can cause uncontrolled decomposition of the mixed adhesive. Loctite EA 9320NA Aero Epoxy Adhesive may be cured for 5 to 7 days at room temperature to achieve normal performance. For small masses, accelerated cure temperatures up to 93°C can be used as an alternative. A temperature of 82°C will completely cure the epoxy adhesive in 1 hour. Apply to the substrates in a well-ventilated room and avoid breathing in any vapors and fumes.
Loctite EA 9320NA has a service temperature range between 25 to 82°C. Tensile strength at room temperature is 5,000 psi and compressive strength is 8,000 psi. Dielectric constant, 1KHz, 25°C 4.39 and shear modulus 999 MPa. Do not handle the material until the material safety data sheet has been read and fully understood. Loctite 9320NA is designed for industrial use only. For more information contact Krayden, an authorized distributor of Loctite.
