Dow Corning SE 4422 thermally conductive adhesive is gray in color with a fluidity of 1. 7 inches. Specific gravity of cured material is 2.2 and the NVC (Non volatile content) is 99.4%. Tack-free time at 25°C is approximately 11 minutes and the tensile strength is 740 psi. Dow Corning SE 4422 will cure into a durable, low stress elastomer with a noncorrosive by-product. This material is specifically designed to remove heat from electronic devices allowing them to operate more efficiently and increase reliability over the life of the device. Properties of the material such as high thermal conductivity, low thermal resistance and achieving a thin bond line thickness allows this product to effectively transfer heat away from the device.

Thermal conductivity of Dow Corning SE 4422 is 0.9 W/mK and the unprimed adhesion, lap shear to aluminum is 206 psi. The moisture cure silicone adhesive is generally cured at room temperature in a range of 0 to 80 percent relative humidity. Greater than 90 percent of the adhesives full physical properties should be attained within 4 to 7 hours. It is not recommended to use the material for highly confined or deep section cured. It will generally cure approximately 0.25 inch per 7 days. Dow Corning SE 4422 will provide unprimed adhesion to a variety of reactive metals, glass, ceramics, as well as laminates and plastics.
